What is the resolution level of the tiles, 7 .... 18? And what is the map area? World?

I always define for me „areas  of interest“, for example to where I travel for vacation, and prefetch the tiles of this area. Everything else is for a phone perhaps just overkill, IMHO, and as you say complex to manage.
